Safety tips when using epoxy resin

Wear gloves that can endure chemicals such as epoxy resin. Nitrile disposable safety gloves are the ideal choice for protecting your skin from epoxy.

The ideal respiratory mask should have P2 filter protection to protect you from odours and dust. Breathing in odours or epoxy dust could irritate your respiratory system.

Wearing safety glasses will help protect your eyes from splashing liquids that could cause eye irritation. They will also prevent you from accidentally rubbing your eyes, or the area around them, whilst working with epoxy resin.

We reccomend wearing a long sleeve top and pants when using epoxies to avoid skin contact. If you get resin on your skin, immediately wash skin thoroughly. Stop using epoxy if you develop a skin reaction.

Epoxy resin releases odours when mixing and leaving it to cure. It is important to work in a well-ventilated space with good airflow. This will help prevent possible skin and eye irritation as well as keeping odours to a minimum.
