Can I add colour pigment to your resin?

Yes! Any pigment suitable for epoxy resin can be added.

How much pigment should I add?

We recommend no more than 10% pigment to resin ratio. Ideally, we recommend staying between 2-5% for optimum results. Adding too much pigment can change the chemical properties in the resin which may result in the resin to be uncured or sticky. It is best to start with the smallest amount first, mix and see what the colour looks like.  If you require the colour to be deeper or more vibrant, you can then add a tiny bit more, making sure the total of pigment to resin ratio does not exceed 10%.

What is the ideal temperature for working with resin?

Please ensure you read the appropriate technical data sheet for the product that you are using before starting your project. In general ideal working conditions would be room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.

How long does it take for the resin to cure?

Please ensure you read the appropriate technical data sheet for the product that you are using before starting your project.

The cure time depends on the size of the pour. The larger the pour volume, the shorter the cure time.  Please note that working times and curing times are temperature dependent. Higher temperatures result in shorter working times and curing times. Colder temperatures result in longer working times and curing times.

In general ideal working conditions would be room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.

What safety precautions should I take when using resin?

Please ensure you read the appropriate technical data sheet for the product that you are using before starting your project.  All of our products come with a technical data sheet.

Work in a well-ventilated area. If the area you are working in has poor ventilation, we recommend wearing a respirator with P2 filter protection.

Gloves should also be worn whenever handling or working with resin. We also suggest wearing a long sleeve shirt.

Do NOT use epoxy resin if you are pregnant.
